Cesarean Section

Delivery is completed with an incision or cut in the mother’s uterus and abdomen. Dr Madhavi begins by analysing the mother’s and baby’s health, followed by identifying all the risk factors and then finalising whether a C-section delivery is necessary. Dilation And Evacuation
Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) is a surgical procedure for removing fetus, placenta, and pregnancy tissues while following the guidelines. The D&E method is used for removing the pregnancy tissue after a miscarriage or when the pregnancy needs to be aborted. An anaesthetist may be required for this procedure, but that depends on the extent of gestation. The D&E procedure can be performed up to the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Cervical Biopsy
Cervical Biopsy is a diagnostic procedure in which a small tissue is removed from the cervix to test for abnormal conditions. This test is usually performed to check for precancerous conditions leading to cervical cancer. Abdominal hysterectomy
Abdominal Hysterectomy involves removing the uterus through the belly by making a large incision. Besides the uterus, this procedure is also used to remove the fallopian tubes, enlarged uterus, or when the disease has spread to the pelvic cavity. With an incision in the lower belly or abdomen, Dr Madhavi will remove the uterus or womb.
Vaginal hysterectomy
In this procedure, Dr Madhavi will remove the uterus through the vaginal opening. The procedure involves detaching the uterus from the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and upper vagina. The decision to go for a vaginal hysterectomy depends on the size and shape of the uterus. A vaginal hysterectomy is a complex procedure and requires expertise. Pelvic reconstruction surgery
Pelvic Reconstruction Surgery is performed to restore or improve the strength of the pelvic floor. When the muscles or ligaments of the pelvic floor are weak or damaged, Dr Madhavi will opt for this surgery. The weakening of muscles or ligaments can happen due to childbirth. In the surgery, the surgeon will rebuild the layers to support the fallen organs.
