Laparoscopic Surgery
Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Services
Dr Madhavi is an experienced surgeon and delivers excellent diagnosis and surgical treatment with laparoscopic surgery.
Ovarian Cysts
Ovarian cysts removal surgery allows the surgeon to remove one or more than one cysts from the ovaries. Dr Madhavi resorts to laparoscopic surgery for cyst removal due to its minimally invasive nature and faster recovery time. Ovarian cysts need to be surgically removed if they are becoming cause for pain and can cause cancer. With the right surgical procedure, the doctor will remove the cysts and inhibit the growth of unwanted cysts.
Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling
Dr Madhavi recommends going for laparoscopic ovarian drilling, especially in patients with a high AMH and Resistant PCOS to reduce the production of androgen by the ovaries. Ovarian drilling breaks through the outer thick layer of ovaries and lowers the amount of androgen produced by the ovaries. As a result, the patient will start ovulating and have a regular menstrual cycle. The surgery is performed with a few preparations, and the patient can go home on the same day.
Myomectomy
Myomectomy is the procedure meant to remove uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous growth structures that appear in the uterus. Depending on the position of fibroids, they are called intramural (within the uterine wall), submucosal (beneath the uterine wall), and subserosal (outside the uterine wall). They are most common in childbearing years but can also spawn at any age. In the myomectomy procedure, Dr Madhavi will remove these growth structures and reconstruct the uterus. After the surgery, the patients will have less pain, bleeding, and a lower pelvic pressure. Moreover, after the procedure is complete, women can also get pregnant.
Endometriosis
In endometriosis, tissue lining (which is present on the uterus) starts to appear on other parts of the body. As the tissue grows on other parts of the body, it can cause discomfort, and in the worst-case scenario, women might face difficulties with getting pregnant. Dr Madhavi helps with the right treatment of endometriosis, including medication and surgery, which is mostly laparoscopic. The gynaecologist can also choose a hysterectomy in case the endometriosis scar tissues have grown abnormally.
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH) is a complex surgical procedure where the uterus and cervix are removed. The procedure follows a laparoscopic surgery, and depending on the condition, your gynaecologist might also decide to remove ovaries and fallopian tubes. In cases of extreme pain, heavy periods, fibroids, prolapse, and cervical cancer (early stage), Dr Madhavi might suggest going for the TLH surgery.
